Welcome to the website of 3C Handyman Service / 3C Carpentry ("3C", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our website, online project planner, contact forms, photo submission features, and related online content.
By using this website or submitting a project request, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
This website is provided for general business information, project planning, portfolio display, material comparison, and customer inquiry purposes. Our website may help homeowners describe a fence, deck, gate, repair, replacement, or related outdoor woodworking project.
The website does not provide legal, engineering, architectural, building-code, zoning, permit, or professional construction advice. Information on this website is general and may not apply to your specific property, municipality, site condition, structure, soil, slope, drainage, existing utilities, neighbour conditions, or project requirements.
Any information generated by the website, project planner, configurator, contact form, material guide, portfolio page, or communication form is for preliminary consultation only.
The website may display project categories, material tiers, design options, or general price indicators such as $, $$, $$$, or $$$$. These indicators are not exact prices, not quotes, not estimates, and not offers to perform work.
Submitting a form, using the planner, uploading photos, or contacting us does not create a contract, does not guarantee availability, does not reserve a schedule, and does not obligate 3C to accept or perform any project.
Final project scope, pricing, payment schedule, materials, timeline, site conditions, exclusions, permit responsibilities, change-order rules, and warranty terms must be confirmed in a separate written quote, estimate, invoice, or contract issued or approved by 3C.
For home renovation or repair work in Ontario, applicable consumer protection rules may require a written contract for projects above certain thresholds. If an estimate is included in a written contract, the final price may be subject to legal limits unless the customer agrees to additional or different work. Where applicable, customers may also have cancellation rights, including a cooling-off period for certain contracts signed at the customer's home.
Nothing on this website is intended to remove or reduce any mandatory rights you may have under Ontario or Canadian law. Any actual project contract should be read carefully before signing.
We primarily serve selected areas in the Greater Toronto Area, including but not limited to Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Aurora, Toronto, and nearby communities, subject to project size, availability, site conditions, travel distance, weather, and business capacity.
We reserve the right to decline any project request for any reason permitted by law, including but not limited to safety concerns, site conditions, scope mismatch, scheduling limitations, material limitations, access restrictions, legal or permit concerns, communication issues, or projects outside our service area.
A site visit, phone call, email exchange, WhatsApp conversation, photo review, or online consultation may be used to understand your project, but it does not guarantee a final quote or acceptance of work.
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information, including but not limited to property location, project dimensions, access conditions, existing structures, property lines, neighbour issues, slope, drainage, underground utilities, easements, municipal restrictions, condo or HOA rules, and any known defects or hazards.
We may rely on the information you provide. If information is inaccurate, incomplete, or changes after the initial discussion, project scope, pricing, schedule, and feasibility may change.
Photos, sketches, measurements, descriptions, and project preferences submitted through the website, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other communication channels are used for project review and communication.
Customer-provided photos and measurements may not be sufficient to determine final scope or pricing. We may require additional photos, a site visit, municipal review, or written clarification before providing a formal quote or accepting work.
You should avoid sending unnecessary personal, sensitive, or unrelated information. If photos include people, neighbours, vehicles, licence plates, house numbers, security systems, or other identifiable information, you confirm that you have the right to share those photos with us for project review.
Fence, deck, gate, and outdoor construction projects may be subject to municipal building permits, zoning by-laws, pool enclosure rules, conservation authority rules, utility locates, easements, property line requirements, condo rules, HOA rules, neighbour agreements, or other approvals.
Permit and approval requirements vary by municipality and project details, including but not limited to height, size, elevation, structure, use, location, and property conditions.
Unless clearly stated in a written contract signed or approved by 3C, the customer is responsible for confirming and obtaining all required permits, approvals, surveys, property-line information, utility locates, and third-party permissions. If 3C agrees in writing to assist with permits or approvals, the scope and fees for that assistance must be stated separately.
We are not responsible for fines, delays, redesigns, removals, neighbour disputes, permit refusals, by-law enforcement, or legal consequences arising from inaccurate property information, missing approvals, incorrect property lines, or customer instructions.
Outdoor work may involve digging, anchoring, posts, footings, demolition, or structural changes. The customer must disclose known underground utilities, irrigation systems, gas lines, electrical lines, drainage pipes, septic systems, private cables, invisible fences, and other hidden conditions.
Where required, utility locates must be arranged before digging. Responsibility for arranging and verifying utility locates should be confirmed in the written project agreement.
We may pause, modify, or decline work if we identify unsafe conditions, hidden hazards, structural concerns, unknown utilities, unsafe access, severe weather, or other risk factors.
Fence and deck materials may include pressure-treated wood, cedar, composite boards, fasteners, posts, concrete, hardware, railings, gates, and related supplies.
Material availability, supplier pricing, colour, texture, grain, knots, checking, warping, shrinkage, expansion, fading, weathering, batch variation, and manufacturer specifications may change. Natural wood products vary in appearance and performance. Composite products may vary by brand, colour batch, profile, and installation requirements.
Images on this website are for general reference only. Actual materials, colours, finishes, dimensions, and final appearance may differ depending on supplier inventory, lighting, weather, installation conditions, maintenance, and manufacturer tolerances.
Any timeline discussed through the website, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or site visit is preliminary unless confirmed in a written contract.
Outdoor construction is affected by weather, material supply, site access, permit timing, customer decisions, change orders, ground conditions, crew availability, and other factors beyond our control. We are not responsible for reasonable delays caused by weather, supplier delays, permit delays, access issues, unsafe conditions, or events outside our reasonable control.
Any work outside the confirmed written scope may require a separate approval, revised quote, change order, or additional payment. This may include but is not limited to demolition, disposal, rotten structure repair, hidden damage, grading issues, drainage issues, additional posts, extra gates, structural reinforcement, permit-related changes, material upgrades, design changes, access issues, or customer-requested modifications.
We are not required to perform additional work unless it has been accepted by 3C and confirmed in writing or through another documented approval method.
Customers are responsible for:
We may take photos or videos of project work for documentation, quality review, and internal records. If we publicly use project photos for portfolio, social media, advertising, or website display, and those photos can reasonably identify your property or personal information, we will obtain your permission or ensure the images are sufficiently anonymized before public use.
Customer-submitted photos are used for project review and communication only. Public use of customer-submitted photos requires customer permission.
If you believe a photo on our website or marketing material identifies your property or personal information and you want it removed, please contact us.

You may view and use the website for personal project planning and inquiry purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, scrape, distribute, republish, sell, or commercially exploit website content without our written permission.
Our website and communication workflow may use third-party services such as website hosting, form handling, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, maps, analytics, or advertising tools. These services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or platforms. We are not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites.
We try to keep website information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific project.
We may update, remove, suspend, or change website content, forms, pages, service descriptions, material information, and these Terms at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 3C and its owners, employees, subcontractors, representatives, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or economic loss arising from your use of the website, reliance on website information, submission of project details, website errors, delays, third-party services, or inability to access the website.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited, including liability required by applicable consumer protection laws.
These Terms are intended to govern website use and preliminary project inquiries. They do not replace a signed construction contract and do not waive any mandatory rights, remedies, warranties, or protections that cannot be waived under Ontario or Canadian law.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement will apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any disputes related to this website or these Terms will be handled in Ontario, subject to applicable consumer protection laws and any mandatory dispute-resolution rules.
